Friendly Fires ready for stardom?

Last year Friendly Fires’ “Jump in the pool” gained a post here on PTBJ, and I decided it also deserved a place among my own personal best singles of 2008 (here’s the unmissable and marvellous post about it. Still wonder why they didn’t give me the Pulitzer for it).
Last Christmas I bought myself their eponymous first album: quite good indeed but, in my opinion, lacks the freshness of.. mm.. Klaxons or Late of the Pier’s divine insanity, just to name a few.
However.. while waiting for the second album, XL recordings re-released the first one as a deluxe edition, featuring a bunch of remixes and 3 new tracks.
Here’s brand new “Kiss of life”: seems like they’re slowly but inexorably doing the “Coldplay leap”. I hope they reverse the route in time, before becoming helplessly dull.
This song is awesome, however, even in its mainstream-ish package.
(And I’ve been longing for new drums and tambourines since Michael Jackson’s “You don’t care about us”..)
