Some nights ago I saw this on MTV Italy:

Friendly Fires - Jump in the pool (Sept 08)

and soon it reached #1 in my “oh! I do love it when a song gives my heart a lift” playlist.
To be honest.. at first I thought they were Klaxons.
No, they are Friendly Fires, they’re English, their self-titled first album was released on September the 1st, and I’ve guiltily never heard of them before.
I get to know by Wikipedia that millions of you who are reading this post on the other side of Atlantic Ocean probably know them already, since their single “On Board” featured in a northamerican commercial for a videogame console last May.
But.. who cares?. To me they’re as fresh as new fallen snow in summer.
