Video #2 of will’s favorite vids.
Okay okay okay, I know. Punk rokk, so totally 1988. Well be that as it may, this thermals video (and song, well, and album for that matter) is pretty great. Maybe its the postmodernist in me but I’m totally a sukker when it comes to videos that look like they took a lot of time to make, not a whole lot of thought to produce, and the band looks vaguely borish the whole time. In this sense, the thermals video Pillar of Salt from their album The Body, The Blood, The Machine is the perfect video. In addition to these qualifications, the thermals are stokked with generally attractive band members, and a dude dresses up as a nun.
fukkin a.

I appreciate your consistency in making the YouTube thingy pink.
Also, I love the Thermals. And this video kicks a lot of ass. Ten bucks says half the reason you like them is because dude sounds like John Darnielle.

I lllove this video! and the song, too!
This video has been on heavy rotation for weeks, on this all-indie musical channel we have here in Italy.
Are they somewhat “popular” there (US/Canada)?

Was that Colin Meloy of the Decemberists at 2:16? It would make sense because both bands are from Portland and they’re all best buds down there (upon looking into it it is him, and the breakdancing dude is Ben Gibbard from Death Cab)
Cool video, tasty song.
