I love commercials! (and.. uh.. I also love creative washing machines)

As I said already in a previous post, my daddy is cool.
He can’t speak a single word in English and he sometimes makes a mess of names and titles.
I swear.. once he came back home holding triumphally this copied cassette in his hand.
- Look!! this is something by Joe Jackson you don’t have!! This album is called “5″.
It was an anthology of.. the Jacksons Five, actually. Truth, believe me.
(What was I saying?
Uh.. yes!)
But his ears work well, apparently.
Some days ago I went to visit my parents and found my dad listening to his beloved Vangelis (greek composer, worldwide known for his movie soundtracks, like “Blade Runner”, “Chariots of fire”, or “Alexander”. You probably have listened to lots of his compositions without knowing it).
- By the way.. has Vangelis’ music recently appeared as a soundtrack to a commercial of a.. fridge? Or.. was it a washing machine?
- Mm.. not as far as I know.
- Really? I think I can almost see it: something.. soft, dreamy.. a female voice whispering syllables.. “pam.. pam, pam!”.
Well.. he was right, actually.
And the commercial is absolutely stunning.
Enjoy

Vangelis - Ask the mountains

p.s.: the female singer is Stina Nordenstam, from Sweden (this is the nth swedish artist I happened to talk about on this site..); I’ve heard about her just once before, a good ten years ago (the song was “Dynamite”).
Such intense and evoking voice, indeed.
Think I’m going to search stuff about her very soon.
