As good as Santogold

Aaahh.. something mainstream, at last!
It’s ok quarrelling on who’s the coolest, whether Wolf Parade or Animal Collective, or reviewing marvellous ultraindie bands retrieved from the heart of some wild Canadian forest (this is how us IGNORANT Europeans  like me imagine Canada: forests, mooses and grizzlies all around, and freezing winters: a sort of unpolluted infinite country inhabitated by people resembling north Americans, but much more relaxed, good-natured and hospitable, not gun toting, and.. ice hockeying all the time!!)
But..
I’m a radio-friendly cheesy catchy pop addicted. I mean.. I like to appreciate different flavour nuances in a wine, as well as to drown my blues in a.. uh.. Bacardi Breezer (lime, of course).
(What was I saying? ah!)
Together with the Ting Tings, Santogold is the actual nth “british big thing”, half mainstream half cool, according to New Musical Express and to the rest of Uk press (same as in Italy: getting 8/10 in a cool indie music italian mag while being on heavy rotation on every radio station).
I know she reached #74 in Billboard generic chart, so it’s not that great suggestion from me.
But I love the chorus (even if it somehow reminds me of the one in Bic Runga’s “Sway”), and the video is pure genius.

    1. Animal Collective is way better. It’s not even an argument.
    2. The plural of moose is meese.
    3. I paused The Living End to watch this video, and it was worth it. Nicely done.

    will you forgive me, boss?
    well.. if only you (north americans and canadians) accepted to use the word “elk” instead of “moose” like the rest of the world does, I wouldn’t make mistakes like this!!!!

    (ok.. now let’s restart from lesson #4: irregular plurals..)

    woman, elk and moose is two different thangs.
    and the plural isn’t actually meese. it’s meeses.
