Reason # 47,192 Why My Dad Rocks

When I was eight, my dad gave me the best present a father could ever give his child. This present was a cassette tape called Pop Goes The World by Men Without Hats. It didn’t take me long to wear that thing out, but those Men (sans hats, of course) have always had a special place in my heart. Recently I came into possession of this album once again, and it is still the shit. But why sit here and listen to me talk about how cool Men Without Hats are/were when you can watch their sweet music videos?

That’s what I thought.

 ”Safety Dance”

 ”Pop Goes The World”

 ”The 21st Century”

 ”Moonbeam”

 ”Hey Men”

Well that was weird. Did anyone else think the lead singer was kinda hot (even though he’s got a woman inside)? Just me? Kay…

come to think of it, there definitely is a men without hats lp in my dad’s collection. big and yellow. without hats. i love them solely based on the fact that they have a song called jenny wore black. a title that captures most of my life, really.
